28th European Forum on Urban Forestry 2026

Malmö, Sweden, 26 – 29 May 2026

The 28th European Forum on Urban Forestry will be co-organised by the City of Malmö,  The Tree Office (Trädkontoret) and SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences).

The EFUF2026 overall theme is Diversity in Urban Forestry – bringing People, Trees and Ideas together.

EFUF2026 is open to all interested in urban forest management, policy, planning and decision-making.

The language of the forum is English.

The Forum starts with a welcome drink in the City Hall on Tuesday the 26th of May. The official start is scheduled for Wednesday, the 27th of May. The conference ends on the 29th of May with an excursion in the afternoon, ending around 17:00.

Conference registration
All registration fees are listed excluding VAT. A 25% Swedish VAT will be added to the total amount at checkout. *Students are defined as full-time students at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD level. Proof of full-time student status must be presented on site

* Paid for by the City of Malmö, but no-show fee is 1 000 SEK ** Conference Dinner includes a three course dinner at MJ´s in Malmö. The conference dinner are listed excluding VAT. A 25% Swedish VAT will be added to the total amount at checkout.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation policy If you cancel your registration before or on the 21st of April 2026, we will refund the registration fee, minus any bank transfer costs. Suppose you cancel after the 21st of April 2026 and we cannot assign your conference seat to a participant from the waiting list, unfortunately, we cannot refund the registration fee. If you can find a replacement, please contact us at boka@tradkontoret.se to transfer your registration.

In accordance with Swedish tax law and the EU VAT Directive (2006/112/EC, Articles 53–54), all registration fees for EFUF 2026 are subject to Swedish VAT (25%), regardless of the participant’s country of residence or VAT status. More information can be found via the link below.
